Intralobar Pulmonary Sequestration

Abstract
Though not common, pulmonary sequestration is of interest for the thoracic surgeons because fatal bleeding from the abnormal systemic arteries may occur during operation if unrecognized preoperatively.
Recently we operated on 3 cases of pulmonary sequestration. All were intralobar type. Two of them were symptomatic. Definite diagnosis were obtained by retrograde aortography. One case had ventricular septal defect of small size.
Left lower lobectomy was performed in each case without difficulty. We have presented three surgical cases of pulmonary sequestration.
